Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This policy explains how Deductly collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information.
Deductly is operated by Ersel Aydin, an Australian individual/sole trader (ABN 58 612 299 869), based in Victoria, Australia.
Information we collect
- Occupation, income, deduction, scenario, calculator, and questionnaire inputs.
- Receipt, transaction, and tax-summary information you choose to upload, which may contain sensitive financial or identifying information.
- Your name, email address, phone number, support messages, purchase details, and marketing preferences where relevant.
- Technical and usage data such as device, browser, approximate location, pages visited, referral source, and product events collected through cookies or similar technologies.
Some workflow records are stored only in your browser. Files submitted to an AI-powered feature are sent to Deductly's server-side processing flow and relevant service providers for the requested analysis.
How information is used
- Provide requested tools, reports, estimates, emails, and AI-assisted outputs.
- Process payments, verify and restore Pro access, prevent misuse, and provide support.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the service.
- Send marketing only where permitted and honour unsubscribe requests.
- Meet legal obligations and protect Deductly, users, and third parties.
Service providers and overseas disclosure
Deductly uses providers including Netlify (hosting and server functions), OpenAI (AI processing), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Google Analytics and Ahrefs (analytics), and may use Zapier for expressly disclosed lead or workflow transfers. These providers may process information in Australia, the United States, the European Union, or other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Their handling is also governed by their privacy terms.
Affiliate and partner links may take you to third-party sites. Deductly may earn a commission, but does not control those sites or their privacy practices.
Storage, security, and retention
Deductly uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service is completely secure. Do not upload information that is unnecessary for the requested feature. Redact tax file numbers, account numbers, addresses, and unrelated identifiers where possible.
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, legal obligations, dispute handling, security, and service operation. Browser-stored records remain on your device until deleted or automatically expired by the relevant tool. Uploaded files are intended for transient processing unless a feature clearly says otherwise; provider logs and derived records may remain for limited operational and legal periods.
Your choices and rights
- You may request access to or correction of personal information Deductly holds about you.
- You may request deletion where retention is not required by law or a legitimate operational need.
- You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time; requested transactional messages may still be sent.
- You may clear browser-stored records using the product controls or your browser settings.
Contact and complaints
Email hello@deductly.com.au for privacy questions, access or correction requests, deletion requests, or complaints. Please provide enough detail for us to investigate. Deductly will acknowledge and address complaints within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Deductly may update this policy as the product or law changes. Material changes will be reflected by the date above.
